"WOW" is all we can say in talking about the Women's Retreat held at Eagle Tree Lodge April 27-29.  A group of about 13 women attended this "Well Bee-ing" themed retreat which was focussed on prayer.  Eagle Tree Lodge in Agassiz, BC was a perfect, peaceful setting for our retreat.

Two amazing women organized and hosted this retreat, Heather Hamm and Amarjit Nienkaemper.  What an amazing job they did to make us all feel special - thank you Amarjit and Heather!  It truly was a retreat in every sense as we spent time alone with God and enjoyed time together encouraging one another, praying for one another, laughing and crying together.

Two amazing women shared their testimonies and God's healing power was very evident in their lives.  Thank you to Rose for leading a sweet worship time for us and to Lainey and Rachelle for preparing a beautiful craft.  And of course we cannot forget the delicious food that we enjoyed - thank you Amarjit, Jenna and Evonne!

Here's a prayer poem that each of us received in our "goody bags":

The Difference

I got up early one morning
and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish,
that I didn't have time to pray.

Problems just tumbled about me;
and heavier came each task.
"Why doesn't God help me?"
I wondered.  He answered,
"You didn't ask."

I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled on, gray and
bleak; I wondered why God
didn't show me.  He said,
"But you didn't seek."

I tried to come into God's presence,
I used all my keys at the lock.  God
gently and lovingly chided, "My child,
you didn't knock."

I woke up early this morning, and
paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish
that I had to take time to pray.

"Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God."  Philippians 4:6
