As a response to our sermon series, "Listening Well" we will be hosting an Indigenous Blanket Exercise with the goal to better understand Indigenous people.

Kathleen Lounsbury will be leading the activity. Kathleen is on faculty at TWU in the nursing department, she is Indigenous, and a follower of Jesus.

What you will need

· one blanket per family

· one family photo

The blanket exercise is an interactive, educational program that teaches the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada. The program was created in response to the 1996 report of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, and is used as a teaching tool across Canada.

We look forward to this evening which we hope will challenge us to be a Jesus-centred community creating gracious space through acts of generous love.
