A native of Langley, BC, Tyson has been doing youth ministry since his first year at Peace River Bible Institute in Grade Prairie, Alberta.  Ever since then, his journey has been full of adventure and amazing God-stories.  From missionary work in Mexico to playing in a successful Christian rock band, Tyson has had the privilege to experience youth ministry in a large variety of settings.  He recently returned from living the dream of sun, surf and golf while working at a church in California the last three years. 

Tyson loves God and loves hanging with students, especially when it involves free food and Starbucks.  He also loves playing the drums, acting, speaking/emceeing, teaching, and laughing… a lot!   He has had the opportunity to speak at youth conferences, camps and school groups while serving both in California and Canada.  

Not only does Tyson view these things as valuable, he acknowledges that they aren’t as valuable as his relationship with Christ.  He looks forward to working with students, building a team of disciple-makers to bring the message of Christ to every student that comes across their path.

Finally, Tyson is really proud of himself because he wrote this bio, but is now wondering why he is typing this all in third person.
